Social Activities – PSI Group

PSI Group supports and promotes the development of the social sphere of our country. We organized the conference GIS Talks (in the format of TEDxTalks), school Olympiads in mathematics and physics, volunteer groups to help those in need during the emergency due to COVID-19 in the city of Almaty.

GIS Talks

GIS Talks is a platform for the exchange of ideas in a lively and inspiring format-a speech by one person, covering any topic: from science to business, from art to global problems of humanity. This is a truly limitless stream of "Ideas worth spreading"

The speakers at GIS Talks were:

People's Hero of the USSR, first cosmonaut of Kazakhstan, Honored Test Pilot, Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan-TOKTAR AUBAKIROV. Lecture topic: Creative engineering specialty-test pilot.
Deputy Chairman of the Committee of Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken", former director of the plant "Belkamit" - Pavel Beklemishev. On the topic: "The Fourth Industrial Revolution»
Sayasat Nurbek, Head of the educational center, BTS Digital revealed the topic "Industrial Revolution 4.0"

Olympiads

The Olympiad is a proven way to identify children with high intellectual abilities, to form motivation and opportunities for the further development and implementation of these abilities.

In order to popularize mathematical Olympiads among schoolchildren of 6-7 grades and early vocational training, as well as motivate gifted children, the Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty of KazNU named after al-Farabi with the support of PSI Group III of the Republican Olympiad named after Shaltay Smagulov.

The first (qualifying) and second (city) stages of this Olympiad were held in November 2018. The third (Final) stage of the Olympiad was held on June 15-16, 2019 in Almaty in the format of an individual championship and a team tournament, which was attended by 159 schoolchildren-winners of the first and second stages from 14 cities of the republic (Aktobe, Atyrau, Aktau, Nur-Sultan, Pavlodar, Uralsk, Taldykorgan, Kostanay, Shymkent, Karaganda, Zhanaozen, Taraz, Almaty, Almaty region, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kentau).

Volunteering

As you know, 2020 has been declared the Year of the Volunteer in Kazakhstan. PSI Group did not stand aside, taking the initiative to create a volunteer group within the company in support of citizens who found themselves in a difficult situation during the state of emergency and severe restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The assistance was provided in two streams:

1 stream - 35 families (130 people)

2 stream-32 families (128 people)
